The growth in Freeth’s shot and mechanics has been exponential since we first connected in 2020. She has put thousands of hours of reps since then. The result is a clean, compact jumpshot that has allowed her to knockdown shots on teams with some of the nation’s best playmakers this summer. -- Brandon Clay
From the Brandon Clay Spotlight Workout
Freeth has worked out with us in three different regions of the country since June. She arrived in Rhode Island with an even smoother release on her jumper. Freeth’s willingness to travel wherever she has to in order to grow her game is a major reason that she’s having such a fantastic offseason full of noticeable development. One thing is for sure, no one is going to outwork her.
Freeth is a shooting guard with size and a developing skill set. Over the summer of 2020, Freeth demonstrated her ability to knockdown the spot up jumper with consistency. She has high follow through and a high arcing release that gives her shot a chance to go in each time she releases it. Although Freeth is best suited on the wing, at the moment, she does have relatively good instinct for finding open players when the cut to open spots. This is usually because she has her head up and is not too busy over dribbling. The one skill that we identified over time for Freeth to hone in is to make sure she got her feet set before shooting. Rushing her shot before she was ready often became counter-productive. – Coach Hemi

This was our staff’s first time working with Freeth. She has the size and attitude to be a capable sharp shooter in due time. Right now, it’s about putting in the time with quality repetitions and consistency. She was a model camper combining a willingness to be coached with the effort it takes to blossom in environments such as this one.

Freeth’s skill improvement has been fun to track so far. If she’ll continue to find chances to compete and train in environments, her game will keep rising as a result. Freeth took the floor with some of the nation’s top players in her first game back since December. There’s plenty to like about what she does on the floor but her IQ level is her biggest attribute right now.

Freeth has been with us twice in the past month showing growth in each eval. What she brings to the table is a combination of effort and an emerging jumpshot that should place her game in a good spot 12 months from now as she gets more and more comfortable with the mechanics. She’s got the work ethic to get the job done.
