Slocum continues to show that talented players can also be hard workers. She proved all summer that she can play through nagging injuries but she took it to another level by playing with a broken finger at the Check Me Out Showcase. Her range has improved to the point that defenders now have to chase her well behind the 3-point arc, which is a problem because she is so strong with the ball and can get into the lane easily when overplayed out past 20 feet. She plays both ends of the court with energy. She could be more disciplined on the defesive end and with her shot selection, but she is one fo the special players in this class.
