Howard's overall shot looks really good. She's grown leaps and bounds the past three years both physically and mechanically. Both of which are playing a huge role in how well she is shooting the ball. Howard is hopping into her shot instead off the dribble instead of the one - two step on the move. It's easier to counter defenders who closeout hard with the one - two step. That's a place for growth before we meet again in early June. -- Brandon Clay
Howard is no stranger to our staff. She is with us training at least two times every year and has since before the pandemic. As a result, Howard's game is growing right along with her frame. She's the type of prospect who takes the instruction from the Showcase then goes home to grow her game before returning again. Howard looked like a guard with a year of varsity basketball experience under her belt. She's a natural off the ball option who has the skill set needed to play some secondary minutes at the Point as well. Howard's jumper has really improved since 2019. -- Brandon Clay
Howard has grown so much physically since we first got in the gym together years ago. Just a freshman in high school, she appears to have a lot of room left to grow still both physically and skill wise. Howard’s willingness to put extra work in has been on display for years. As a result, she is more productive each time we train. The next step is getting used to attacking off the 1-2 into her jumper. -- Brandon Clay
Howard continues to work hard at her game at our academies. She is tuned into the fundamentals of the game while also being willing to play with blue collar intensity. Right now, Howard can double as a point guard or playing off the ball as a shooting guard. Getting her shooting release more consistent should be a detail that she pays attention to in upcoming skill sessions. Making sure the ball rolls off her index and middle finger instead of her pinkie and ring finger is a key to high percentages.
Howard has been to workout with our staff three times since October. It has been awesome to watch her growth both skill wise and physically since we started. Howard’s ability to handle the rock and make shots for a middle school prospect is impressive. That said, we’re training her like an elite high school kid already talking about footwork and such in our sessions. -- Brandon Clay
