SUWANEE, Georgia - The Spring Showdown is an annual staple of the Brandon Clay Team Showcase Series. The 2025 version was no different as players from multiple states came to take part in the action. Here’s a look at some of the standouts from Day One:
Natalie Barton, 2027, SGB (AL)
Barton is both a shot maker and a play maker at the lead guard position. Her willingness to shoot the 3-pointer with range out to the volleyball line is unique. Barton went against next level backcourt prospects in both of her games on Saturday. She was efficient and productive in both showing herself as the offensive leader of the roster in the process.
Harmony Bostick, 2029, One Force (NC)
Bostick was all over the floor in this matchup against SGB. Her ability to play multiple positions at such a young age was impressive. Athletically, Bostick has a ceiling that most don’t possess. She was an All-State selection as an eighth grader playing high school varsity for South Florence this season.
Bri Camp, 2027, Southeast All Stars (GA)
Coming off a fantastic school season where her offensive prowess earned her All-State honors, it was Camp’s defensive ability that garnered attention here. She was tasked in the second half with slowing down Barton and Sawyer Kate Hulgan. Camp was more than up for the task making shots a little more difficult down the stretch for the dynamic duo. Add to that Camp’s ability to make plays in transition on the offensive end and the All Stars left with the victory.
Bristol Cook, 2029, SGB (AL)
Cook was matched up against Bostick in the day’s marquee underclass matchup. Cook has real interior length and size. She got a head-start on a lot of her classmates nationally by playing varsity as an eighth grader. Cook was able to showcase the talent level that usually translates to the college level in due time.
Addison Hammond, 2029, SGB (AL)
Hammond is a dynamic floor general for a talented SGB Hyde roster. She teams up with Cook in the summer and during the school season. Hammond played with poise in the backcourt in a tough matchup against One Force. She has the tools to be a guard we talk about in our circles throughout her high school career.
Ledford had arguably her best day as a member of SAS. Now three seasons in, her growth on both sides of the basketball has been impressive. Ledford is a versatile combo guard who is starting to attack going left the same way she does going right. A 4-star prospect, Ledford holds multiple scholarship offers.
Watts has become one of the best players inside the state of Alabama regardless of class and nationally in the freshman class. Watts put on an offensive clinic during the second half of a tight matchup scoring on a barrage of 3-pointers, pull-ups and finishes at the rim. Watts eventually hit the game winner in overtime as well. The sky is the limit for her game over the next three summers.
