Ayers is a guard with good size and a smooth fluidity about her game. Because she's a quick trigger from well behind the arc you have to guard her differently, which opens up all the downhill stuff. She shoots in the high 30's percentage wise from long range and doesn't need much space to get her shot off. She's a scoring-minded player with a lot of upside.
Ayers has emerged as one of the most versatile players in the country in her class. She has the size to play off the basketball but the intelligence and skillset to play on the ball. In that regard, Ayers reminds me of WNBA guard Asia Durr as a prep prospect. Like Durr, Ayers is a capable shotmaker, lead guard and can initiate the offense. Ayers, who made the Naismith Trophy Underclass Watch List as a freshman, has scholarship offers from a host of schools nationwide and has already visited Louisville, LSU and Tennessee. -- Brandon Clay
