I have had as many Film Room Evaluations on Spink as any prospect that I can recall in recent memory. The biggest positive that keeps popping out to me is her willingness to do whatever it takes to get better. Spink is at her best when she gets going on both ends of the hardwood early in the game. A couple of missed shots should not keep Spink from hunting that rhythm in the game's opening quarter every single game. Though Spink is a more than capable downhill driver to score, her game takes on another dimension when she looks to score from all 3 levels. Add that to her ability to play through contact and you have a dynamic guard capable of scoring double digits most nights at the next level sooner than later in her career. I've been evaluating Spink's game for years now. She has blossomed into the player I projected and then some. Fresh off winning a high school state championship in March, Spink has multiple scholarship offers. In this setting, it was evident that she has filled out through her shoulders. That allows her the strength to consistently get her shot off quickly and consistently with a bump in traffic. When at her best, Spink is a willing scorer whose athletic explosiveness is impressive. Spink is a fantastic athlete who is growing in every eval as a shot maker. She's a hard worker who has made the trip from Indiana on multiple occasions to work on her game. Spink's outside shot was falling nicely in a shooting group pairing with Jill Twiehaus (2024 / Rice commit). One thing that was evident was Spink's added strength in comparison to the first time was connected just after COVID. As Spink gets more and more comfortable slowing her feet down to play with pace, her jumper will improve even more as a result. -- Brandon Clay
Spink is a super athletic option at the guard spot. She always plays hard and is shooting it well from the outside. That area of her game is much improved over the past 18 months. Spink has shown that she will defend on ball against elite offensive players. In time, she'll keep developing as a better ball handler. Spink's biggest asset is that she is always talking on the floor. -- Brandon Clay
Spink is a guard with good size, athleticism and skill for her position. She hit the spot up jumper consistently in this viewing. She was quick to be a leader and encourage her teammates around her. Her ability to handle the ball with confidence will pay dividends down the line as well. We really liked her high energy attitude on the defensive end as well. Working on preparing to shoot before the ball gets to her is an area that will help her become a more efficient shooter.
