Gillard is an intriguing prospect as she enters her final year on the circuit. She is a guard that possesses size, athleticism and shot making ability. She possesses the physical qualities and a feel for the game that is attracting attention from college coaches from across the country. She showed off her jump shot during this academy. Her compact, consistent release allows her to be a high percentage shot maker. If there is an area that she can improve, it is the arc on her shot. Gillard does a good job of keeping her shot straight, but getting her shot up a bit more will help her become elite in this category.
Gillard is a guard on the rise in the class of 2022. Her size, skillset and versatility are ready made for today's game. She is the type of player who can make an impact on the defensive end by guarding the ball or by being an active help defender. She is also potential force on the offensive end, because of her potential lead guard skills or her long-range shooting ability. Her athleticism and length raise her ceiling on the potential of what she can be at the next level. Gillard is far from a finished product as she still has parts of her that still need rounding out. The one area that she can take from the setting as an area to focus in her training is explosiveness with her weak hand. Being a threat to finish at the basket or score in the mid-range when going left will help balance her scoring range.
