Class of 2023 guard Julianna Ouimette of Wisconsin Flight is capable of making a play on either end of the floor. Playing on a roster loaded with quality perimeter play, Ouimette was able to make her presence felt with her ability to create deflections and steals. She is showing the type of all around play we saw last summer at our Wisconsin Academy. -- Brandon Clay
Ouimette is a guard with a nose for scoring the basketball. Her compact release allows for consistency from range. She also has the footwork and body control to score in traffic in the paint. Her willingness to move without the basketball also sets up scoring opportunities all around the court. Ouimette still has room to grow with her weak hand when attacking and finishing around the basket. – Coach Hemi
From Brandon Clay's Spotlight Workout
Ouimette is a smooth yet crafty guard. Her ability to make positive things happen with her skill set and length put our staff in the mind of Jillian Brown (Northwestern verbal). Like Brown, Ouimette is a highly skilled, consistent threat from long range at the guard spot with the length and size to play either the 1 or 2. Ouimette showed in this setting that as she matures in her on floor confidence to lead, serving as a contributor for an NCAA Tournament contender is not far fetched in the least.
“Ouimette is a scorer extraordinaire at a young age dropping just under 22 points per contest last school season. She gets downhill off the bounce on a consistent basis. I like her ability to play both ends of the hardwood too. She averaged more than seven steals per game in HS as a freshman. That’s rare to see a young prospect that engaged on the defensive end of the floor.” — Brandon Clay
