2018: Check Me Out Seattle
Medelez is a young 5'1 guard in the 2025 class that plays very active on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she looks to shoot it on the perimeter when she sees the basket and she will look to draw and kick. It was good to see her decision making and reads on close-outs because she did a good job of making the right move in each situation. Even if the decision wasn't the correct one, she didn't hesitate and still was able to keep the flow of the game going without skipping a beat. Also, she is fast running up and down the floor and is aggressive on the defensive end. She doesn't limit her impact on the court and chooses to be active and in the mix whether its logo rebounding or hustling after loose balls. Going forward, continuing to develop her left hand driving to the rim and shooting at the rim are good growth areas for her to develop over the next year. With Medelez energy and ability to soak up skills, we'd imagine she will continue to develop multiple new elements to her game from the backcourt position.
