Stuart is a 2022 guard and a familiar face at the Check Me Out Showcase. Over the course of the last few years, Stuart has developed a strong urgency to compete and has a growing understanding of the game. The biggest part of her play that stood out this year was how engaged she was with every aspect of the game. She was locked in defensively, running the floor hard offensively, and looking for any opportunity to impact by making little things happen. She rebounded well defensively, and had a nice back door pass to a teammate in the half court. She also had a nice rebound for an AND 1 that proves the growth and toughness that she has made since last year. There has been a clear level change for Stuart that has been spurred by a hard working mentality, so continuing to make that leap each year and growing her skill set will be great for her to display this time next year.
Stuart is a 5'4 guard in the 2022 class. Her game has not had time to fully develop yet because she is so young, but she plays extremely hard. Stuart plays her role well and did knock down a couple of 1-2 step jumpers without hesitation. She has improved tremendously over the last couple of years and you can see that her confidence has grown. She has also improved her court awareness and plays solid defense. Continuing to find more openings to take shots and becoming more assertiveness will be key going forward. Stuart is a true players coach and it will be exciting to see her game take on more of an identity over the course of the next couple of years.
