Cowart is a long-armed guard who has a varied skill set. Listed at 5-8, she has length that makes her appear even taller than that. Her offensive skill set ranges from leading the break to hitting open 3s on the perimeter. Still with three high school seasons in front of her, Cowart has plenty of time to develop as a prospect. Becoming craftier in the half court with her handling is one area where she could improve. Changing pace and directions quickly are skills that could unlock even more opportunities for the sophomore guard.
Cowart came out here with a consistent energy that caught my attention. On the defensive end, that effort allowed her to compete against guards two to three years older than she is. Offensively, Cowart was willing to attack off of the bounce setting up teammates while making the open jumper when she got a chance to do so. Look for Cowart to become an even better on-ball defender as time goes on.
