Bartram came to the camp confident and physically fit. She came into the camp after finishing an impressive high school campaign where she set records for 3-point shooting. She had that shooting confidence on display and proved that her release and technique are ready for the highest levels of competition this summer. As good of a shooter that Bartram is, she is determined to prove that she is more than just a spot up kid. She posted up smaller guards and developed off the dribble drives to score when the defense closes out too long. If there is an area where she can grow it will be creating with her off hand. Adding in a few hesitation or step back moves with her off hand could help keep the defense completely off balance when they try to lock her down.
Bartram is a skilled guard who can fill it up. She showed that she could hit the spot up jumper and score off the move. The upside that Bartram has is the exciting part of her game. She is merely scratching the surface of what she can be. She has size, strength and moxy on the floor. It will be important for Bartram to focus on ways to get her work done before she catches the ball to allow her to get easier shots. This will also to keep the defense off balance, which will set the other parts of her offensive game.
Bartram proved to be one of the better wing scorers at the camp in June. Her ideal size and accurate jump shot allows her to impact the game consistently. She showed that she can hit a high percentage of jumpers both from beyond the arc and off of the dribble. Bartram is far from a one way player as she showed great energy on the defensive end. Her ability to hustle and score the ball make her a prospect we will track for years to come.
