David is advanced for her age both production and skill wise. She has all of the tools to blossom into one of the southeast region's premier guard prospects. In this Film Room evaluation, I watched David purposely slow down using her footwork to create good shots. David's shot goes in so often that her feet can get out of pocket and start to float without negatively impacting her performance during school season. She spent most of her summer playing with a Southeast All Star roster loaded with Division One level prospects including Sarah Gordon (UPenn signee) and Reece Davis (Auburn commit). That type of experience has given David both an added level of confidence that she's brought back home as well as a faster processing in-game ability. -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
David was able to make an impact in a setting of almost exclusively high school aged prospects. Some of the players have already made college choices or hold numerous offers. David was the youngest player in the gym by at least 12 months and in some cases 4-5 years. The fact that she was able to hold her own in these environments speaks volumes to where her game can go. -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
We're going to get to literally watch David build her book by the chapter. She is literally growing physically with every evaluation. In this setting, David shared a floor with some of the southeast region's premier prospects in Kate Harpring, Finley Parker and Ella Watts. David's ability to make shots in game is a separator. She and I shared a floor during multiple scrimmage games at the end of the workout. David wasn't fazed at all by that and made multiple key shots as the game went on to lead her team to two wins. This was our fourth session with David on the backhalf of this calendar year. She is a unique prospect who has the skill set of a high school kid but two years left in middle school. David's game at this stage reminds me of Kenzie Koch (IN-2027) when we connected two years ago. The work that David and Xavier Johnson, who is the lead Brandon Clay National Trainer, put in here was high level to say the least. David finished the session with a series of one on one games using a limited amount of dribbles to create shot opportunities. As she got more comfortable attacking Johnson to finish with her weak hand as well as her strong one, the games got easier for David. In the same gym, David got to watch Kyia Barrett (Anderson University signee) come off scoring 1,000th point the day before and get right back to work with a recovery / shooting session of her own. David has a similar work ethic already. -- Brandon Clay
David continues to progress in game situations looking to score the basketball whether it's off the catch and shoot or the attack. For now, her skill getting downhill to make a play is ahead of her peers. As David learns to be more assertive with her voice, you'll see even more growth in her game as a result. -- Brandon Clay
