Muelemans is ratcheting her game up another level this off season. Physically she is filling out with strength combined with great length. Her jump shot is coming along beautifully. She shoots with confidence, range and with a compact release. Her ability to get the ball into her pocket quickly and then up and out is a characteristic of great shooters. Efficiency is another quality when it comes to her off the dribble game. She goes north and south with the drive and rarely wastes dribbles. The area that we would like to observe for Muelemans especially when projecting to the collegiate level is her midrange pull-up game. Specifically, in short seconds on the shot clock it will be important for her to prove that she can create space with step backs and pullback dribbles to shake loose for those types of shots.
Meulemans is a wing on a trajectory to become one of the best in the nation at her position. The once slight framed prospect has filled out with a frame with definition and strength. The strength of Meulemans game continues to be a versatile scoring threat. She can stretch the floor with long range jumpers or take defenders off the dribble to score at the rim. If there is an that Meulemans can improve upon based upon this viewing it would becoming even more confident and aggressive with her willingness to score. This starts with taking the open jumper and not dribbling into traffic in order to make a play. – Coach Hemi
From the Brandon Clay Spotlight Workout
Meulemans keeps getting better with every eval. She’s grown four inches since our initial eval in the process becoming a premier recruit inside the region. Her progress and projection is very similar to classmate Raeven Boswell who just added a Texas Tech offer this week. Meulemans is a tireless worker developing her shot into a consistent outside weapon. If anything, she can be a little quicker to pull the trigger if she gets space. -- Brandon Clay
- - Footwork
Meulemans has shown both physical and skill set growth since our evaluation in June. She’s got the length on the perimeter to make positive plays on both ends of the hardwood. Her willingness to come in early and get extra work in is a testament to what our staff sees in her game long term. Meulemans is a threat putting the ball on the deck and shooting the outside shot. She’s really worked on her inside foot pivot footwork off the move.
Meulemans has all of the tools to be a high end guard as she progresses. Right now, continuing to develop her ability to read when / where to assert offensively will take her game up a level. Meulemans can already use both hands to handle and pass the ball in game against elite high school aged prospects.
