Vick is a traditional post player who brings a splash of shooting ability that gives her the versatility needed in the modern game. The 6-4 post player proved she can establish position on the block and finish with either hand around the basket. She is equally effective in carving out space and grabbing out rebounds in her area. One of the more intriguing parts of Vick's game is the range on her jump shot. She looks to be confident in hitting the trail 3, which is a big asset when facing interior defenders. Vick's athleticism has improved in recent months. She has a bounce in her step that we had not seen in previous evaluations. She looks to be taking her strength and conditioning training seriously, which will push her ceiling upward at the next level. If Vick can focus on keeping a high one second follow through on her jumper, we expect to see her percentages rise from the free throw line and the arc.
Vick is a post player who did a very good job of finishing with her back to the basket this weekend. Vick is built like Maddie Wright (Belmont sophomore) right now as an incoming ninth grader and is an inch or two taller than Wright. She did a great job of creating angles to score simply and finished with both hands. Her size and strength and definitely an asset. Maximizing her lateral quickness and explosiveness will be an area that she needs to pay attention to in off-season work outs.
