I was on the floor with Loper earlier this spring in Arkansas. Much like that setting, Loper thrives in a space where she’s asked to work and get better. She has a strength and physical maturity to her shooting process that most rising eighth graders don’t possess. Loper’s ability to get her shot off from distance is a direct result of that strength. She is bouncy in off the dribble work as well. In that aspect, Loper’s biggest area of growth in her shooting until we train again this fall is keeping her footwork under her shoulders on the move. Loper has proven herself to be one of the region’s top young prospects. She is a capable option on the basketball at the Point Guard or playing off the basketball as well. Even with a year of middle school remaining, Loper already has the size needed to play either position at the college level. Loper works constantly on her game and her skill set at a young age reflects that work. She can keep the defense spaced with her outside shooting and attack the paint off the bounce. Loper will continue to get better at passing with either hand, but the foundation is there. Loper has already been on multiple campuses and appears to be a prospect who will lead the pack inside Arkansas's eighth grade class. – Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
