- - Footwork
Holmes is an athletic guard with a knack to get to the lane. Her tight handling ability and ability to go either direction makes her a hard match-up. Add on her vision with the ball in her hands and Holmes has terrific play-making upside. During the spotlight workout Holmes demonstrated a consistent jump shot as well. She was able to keep her shot straight without negative motion in her release. Working on her footwork when pulling up for a jump shot, particularly to her left hand, will be the next item on her skill development session work list. – Coach Hemi

The sky is seemingly the limit for Holmes. She has a powerful yet graceful build and was able to pickup on concepts quickly as we taught during the sessions. Holmes is a consistent jumper away from being an extremely tough matchup for opposing defenders on every possession. She has a consistent pace to her work.
Holmes showed she was a strong ballhandler and further impressed with her ability to use both hands well off the bounce. She got to the paint and the rim with some regularity. She can build off this as it is a real strength that translates. Her perimeter shooting needs to improve to take her game to the next level and keep defenders from sagging off her.
