Demetre is one of the most talented players in the 2021 class. She is well beyond her years, and at 6-foot-1 for a guard, she puts herself in a whole new category that quite frankly rarely exists. She can handle the ball up the floor and has great body control inside. Watching her go coast to coast, she can navigate up the court quickly, can pass up the floor with her vision and is capable of stopping in the midrange for a pull-up jumper. She also can shoot with range from the perimeter, and going forward, that is an area she can look to become more efficient in. She can also look to develop a low-block scoring game, because her size versus smaller guards defending her is almost unstoppable if she commits to developing that piece. Defensively, she has a long span that allows her to grab a lot of rebounds and get tips on defenders, but she can look to improve her foot speed to defend smaller guards on the perimeter as she progresses to the next level in her game. Overall, Demetre is loaded with as much upside as anyone the class and has an opportunity to be one of the best players in the country if she keeps going forward.
| Demetre has incredible size, length and strength for a rising 2021 and was one of the most impressive players in the middle school class this past weekend at the Check Me Out SoCal. At 5-foot-10, she moves well and can get out and run the floor. Around the rim, she grabs a lot of rebounds with her length and has a great sense of awareness. She has nice hands catching the ball and her body control is balanced. She is poised beyond her years offensively. Defensively, she blocked a lot of shots with her timing. Going forward, needs to continue to develop her ball handling. Overall, Demetre's upside is through the roof and if she continues to go down the path she is heading right now, I can see her impacting a major program. |
