Pollock is a post player that can play with her back to the basket or facing up from the high post. She takes coaching very well while also showing to be a good teammate. She is vocal and encourages those around her. She has nice touch around the rim and can be an effective passer out of the high post area. Learning how to take advantage of mismatches within the flow of the offense will be key for Pollock.
Pollock is an ideal forward for the modern game. She can play in the pick and roll action at the top of the key with a slashing point guard. If she gets a switch, she can immediately punish a smaller defender with post up technique that is rare to see by a lot of post players in today’s game. Equally as important is Pollock’s range on her jumper. She keeps her shot straight and has a consistent follow through out to the 3-point arc. We would like to see Pollock play with the ball stronger in the post. Getting the ball right to her chin and making a pivot decisively should help her efficiency. – Coach Hemi

Like Krupa, this was our staff’s first chance to train with Pollock. She showed herself much in the same way as a faceup frontcourt option with a blend of size and skill. Over the next three summers, look for Pollock to be increasingly comfortable facing the basket in elite situations such as this one. She has a chance to be a quality prospect who can rebound in area and keep opposing defend her to the 3-point line.
