Ellison has been one of my favorite prospects to evaluate in the Film Room over the past few years. She understands the game, is willing to put in the work and has the skill set to make positive plays on both ends as a result. Ellison's game has grown has her vocalness increased. She's a willing communicator on the hardwood. That quality helps make sure her team is on the same page at all times. For a shooting specialist like Ellison, it's rare to see that quality combined with her helping to quarterback the people around her. As a result, Ellison always seems to be in the right place on the floor. She can continue to build on her one dribble jumper at the college jumper. -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB
From my first Film Room evaluation over four years ago until today, Ellison's growth and maturation are worth celebrating. Her footwork is both crisp and consistent. She understands what she needs to do on a daily basis to improve then goes and gets it done. Ellison's shot mechanics are also a place of real growth for her since 2020. She's become a consistent outside shooting option. Ellison is at a place in her game where she can take the next step by creating space on offense with her movements. Being in constant motion outside of spotting to wait on a corner kick 3-pointer is the next step in her growth. -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Ellison has really put the time in on her game and it's evident during drill work. She's shooting the ball with more confidence while displaying more consistency in her shot making. Ellison has shown that she's capable of playing with really high level talent and serving as a shot maker from out beyond the 3-point line in those settings. Next in her development will be continuing to create more space on the first step. -- Brandon Clay
Ellison was fantastic in this setting. She will get out in transition to get easy shot opportunities as well as serving as a shot maker in the halfcourt setting as well. Ellison has put time in on her offensive skill set. It's starting to both show and pay off. Going forward, focusing on her lateral quickness will only help enhance her overall productivity. Ellison has a nice tool set already with plenty of upside to keep growing. -- Brandon Clay
Ellison is a fundamental guard who takes skill development seriously. She is shooting the ball consistently on the spot up midrange these days. The strength of her game continues to be her willingness to do what it takes to make the winning play. She moves without the ball and finds the open spot on the court. Defensively she will stick her nose on the ball and do her best to stay in between the ball and the bucket. Ellison should continue to work on her weak hand and confidence making plays going either direction.
