Martin is developing into a terrific off the ball scoring option for her team. She is a solid athlete with particularly good fundamentals when working to find her shot in the half court. Her footwork to square her body up to the rim is what stood out during this academy workout. Her athleticism has also dramatically improved in recent years. She is getting stronger through her shoulders and as a result, her pull-up jumper has become an effective weapon in her skill toolbox. Martin should stay aware of her elbow on her jumper. Making sure that it stays tucked under the ball will keep her efficiency and percentages high.
Martin is a skilled combo guard with a very good jump shot. Her release on jumper is compact and consistent. This skill alone will allow her to be a potential impact player soon. She has the ball skill to create a shot even when the defense closes tightly on her on the perimeter. Continuing to add lead guard skills and playmaking skills for others will be key for her next level ceiling.
