CARTERSVILLE, Georgia – One of the top July viewing events, year in and year out, is the Brandon Clay Scouting Summer Invitational.  The field comes from all parts of the country and the cross-circuit matchups give the players and scouts alike an excitement level you can’t get most of the summer with show sponsored teams in their own leagues.

That diversity of the field makes for great conversation about the best players in the country. In this Best of BCS Summer Invite Series, we’ll look at different impacts players have on the game and our selections for who did the most in that area.

Williams is one of the biggest stock-risers of the summer while playing with Michigan Storm UAA. She is a terrific isolation player who can get a shot in the lane at any time. Her ability to shake defenders side to side made her a very tough cover during the PSB Summer Invite at Lake Point Sports facility.

Gayles ability to create off the bounce caught my eye with Vegas United. She's a super smooth perimeter threat in that way. Late in the clock, United went to a 1-4 set and let Gayles workout to get a tough bucket.

Adams is one of the biggest matchup problems in the 2021 class.  Because of her size and range, her slashing game is perfectly complemented. At the Summer Invite she was super successful beating hard closeouts and using shot fakes to set up drives.  She covers so much ground with a single dribble she puts a lot of pressure on the backline defense.
