Former Kentucky signee Lindsey Corsaro, the 6-foot-1 wing from Indianapolis, Ind., has decided on UCLA for her college home. The 2016 McDonald’s All-American reopened her recruitment and received a full release earlier this spring following the turnover of staff and the transfer of several players. Corsaro had originally committed to Kentucky as a sophomore.
With the addition of Corsaro, UCLA coach Cori Close adds an extremely versatile player who can impact the game without a high volume of shots. That’s not to say Corsaro can’t score, she averaged more than 25 points per game as a senior, even after recovering from a torn anterior-cruciate ligament a year earlier.
Corsaro chose UCLA over finalists Indiana, Michigan and Washington. She is the second player in the Bruins’ 2016 class, joining ELITE 150 forward Allyson Rosenblum of Newport Coast, Calif.
The late spring addition will undoubtedly upgrade the UCLA signing class ranking from the early signing period. Corsaro’s decision also leaves just one player, No. 3 Sabrina Ionescu of Walnut Creek, Calif., left undecided from the top 100.
