Jeffcoat is a confident ball handler and distributor. She also showed quickness and speed to get downhill with the ball in her hands. Her ability to set her teammates up for shots is definitely a strength of her game. She is proving that she can be a next level ball handler with her ability to handle with either hand versus pressure. Jeffcoat's jumper is smooth and solid, however showing that she can create her own shot at times will be important for her development.
Jeffcoat showed great play-making skills this weekend. She was able to get into the cut of the defense and force the help to commit to her penetration. What makes Jeffcoat an effective player at this moment is her willingness to find open teammates and not force the issue in traffic. She also showed the range to get jumper to fall from the arc, which is a very promising for her game. The area we would like to see development is in the mid-range. Developing a pull-up jumper will make her a threat to score in multiple ways.
Jeffcoat is a slashing ball handler who showed good vision in the open court. She is a play-maker in transition and can finish on the move. Jeffcoat even showed the ability to finish with her weakhand off the move. We will want to see the consistency on her jumper improve in future evaluations.
Jeffcoat showed a number of skills at the All-American Camp in September. She is showed a lot of offensive prowess as she attacked the basket and shot the ball very well. She showed range from beyond the arc and had a nose for scoring. She was equally effective on the defensive end. She hounded the ball handlers and proved that she could make waves on either end. Her challenge moving forward is to prove she can balance her scoring mentality with full-time point guard duties.
