I've been breaking down Film on Troy since her days as a middle school prospect. She has really taken the next step with her on floor leadership. She brings a vocal nature to the floor that would help just about roster I have seen in recent memory. Troy's ability to make the open outside shot keeps the floor spaced and is a separator for her at the college level. The combination of those two attributes help to offset concerns about Troy's lack of size at the guard position. She can play the game. Going forward, Troy can continue to grow and improve as she works on her left to right mobility keeping quick guards in front of her on defense. Forcing them to have to counter at least once if not twice before getting to the paint is a game changer. -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB
I've had the chance to watch Troy's game grow over the years through these Filmroom Evals. Whether on tape or in person, her consistency as an outside shooter has always been an area of her game that showed college level promise. She's such a smart player on when and where to pick her spots to let it fly as well. That said, it's no surprise that both her footwork and her wrist snap to release the basketball are crisp and concise. If anything, Troy can lengthen her first step off of the dribble to cover more ground when there's a hard closeout from the defense. -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
It was evident here that Troy is ready to take the next step in her game as she prepares for her freshman season of high school. She is developing her jumpshot out to the 3-point line and is showcasing herself as a consistent good decision maker with the basketball as well. Troy is looking to attack more off the catch and rip. As she develops in that area, getting stronger to finish through contact will be a major key. -- Brandon Clay
Troy is a fundamental guard who is on a fast track fundamentally. Her understanding of the game and her polish set her apart from other prospects her age during the academy. She is probably most comfortable on the wing, but Troy is still capable of handling the ball from the lead guard position as well. Her midrange jumper appears to be her strength at this moment. She has a smooth release and can get it off quickly off the dribble. For her game to take another step forward, Troy will need to work on turning the corner with the dribble. Becoming more explosive and getting more efficient with her first step will be critical. – Coach Hemi
Troy is a fundamental guard who brings a diverse offensive skill set. She is a very good shooter from distance, because she has a consistent follow through. Impressively, Troy is a very good post feeder. This is a skill that is seemingly lost by most guards. However, she has the feel and the fundamentals to make feeds that will find lead posts to easy scores. An area of improvement for Troy centers around her shooting. When she misses it usually because her eyes are not on her target. Making sure she gets her eyes up as soon as the ball hits her shooting pocket will make her shooting more consistent. -- Coach Hemi

Troy came out showing both good size and shooting range during the workout. She was dialed in to everything being taught and applied it to game situations on Sunday too. For her, keeping her footwork clean and tight is a key to converting scoring opportunities as she gets older.
