Maxwell is quickly becoming recognized as one of the best players in the state of Washington. She has a special shot and at 6 feet, she can pretty much shoot and score over any sized defender. Developing more strength is something she has done a lot of over the past year, but adding another year of building more power will give her an even bigger edge against more physical players. Her competitive nature, high IQ and lofty scoring arsenal coin her as a next level prospect. She is willing to take big shots and this past showcase, she had a game winner beyond the arc that just highlights the talent she has now and foreshadows what we can expect from her in the future.
Maxwell is no stranger to the Check Me Out Showcase and has really demonstrated tremendous growth. At 5'11, she is a guard that brings length to the floor and uses it to get extra tips on balls and extra possessions defensively crashing to the boards. Her offensive game is where the biggest strides in her game have been made. With a high motor, she plays with a sense of pace and showed a higher skill of change of speed and change of direction to the rim. Going forward, Maxwell can look to add more strength to her game which will allow her to be more effective at the rim. We've noted that strength is one of the biggest keys for Maxwell's impact at the next level as a college prospect. Her skill set has continued to take off in the right direction and her scoring ability is only getting more precise. Overall, she is a player everyone should keep an eye on with as much hardwork she is putting with her talent.
Maxwell is a long and lengthy guard that does a great job of finding her shot. In the past, we've seen her really look for jumper, which having a midrange in your arsenal is an incredible tool, but making sure to not settle is key there. Her 3-point range has improved over the last six months as more strength for her has started to develop. She has great touch and shooting form from the perimeter, but what she needs to focus on is her confidence from 20-feet. She has a great wing-build, and a lot of upside if she continues to improve on her confidence and what I also think is key for her progress as a guard will be her court leadership and vocalness. Overall, Maxwell has a strong scoring mentality and with that mantra, she has the upside to develop into a versatile offensive attacker. |
Maxwell has a long of length in her 5-8 or 5-9 frame. Better than having the length is the fact she uses it. She is a long strider and that helps her get past defenders in fewer dribbles than most kids her age that are still on the lean side. She finished a nice floater after a foul in transition and showed good touch and form on her jumper. As she moves forward if she can balance getting to the rim and shooting jumpers she'll be that much harder to defend.
