Williams is a dynamic combo guard that can score the ball. She showed off her skills this weekend with quickness, body control and touch in the lane. Her physical tools and instincts give her a high ceiling as a scoring minded guard. She possesses range on her jumper that gives her a diverse scoring skill set. The challenge for Williams is to embrace being the lead guard and alpha scorer in key moments. If she can grow in that respect, she should become one of the top guards in the state of Kentucky next year.

Williams was a pleasant surprise in this setting. She shot the ball well all weekend creating space. Her game is versatile reminding in part of Sean Kelly Darks with her production. Like Darks, Williams is a slashing option with the ball but showcased the range to be labeled a shooter on that end too. Williams foot speed should allow her to be a consistent on ball defender as well.
Williams is a talented guard with skill and athleticism. Her shooting ability combined with her quickness to get to the bucket make her a dynamic option in the back court. She has compact release and nice wrist snap on her jump shot, which leads to consistent results on her shot from range. On the defensive end, Williams has a chance to be an even bigger threat. She can defend multiple positions along the perimeter while using her instincts and anticipation to disrupt the opponent’s offense. The challenge for the junior guard this year is to become more assertive on the offensive end. Her assertiveness does not relate necessarily to looking to score, but instead to wanting to handle the ball and be a leader in tight situations. This mentality combined with improving her left-hand confidence could turn her into one of the Bluegrass State’s top guards by her senior year. – Coach Hemi

Williams can put the ball in the basket. It’s worth adding her to the list for college programs needing a dynamic guard capable of getting a bucket. Williams offsets her slight frame with a quick trigger on the outside shot forcing defenses to keep an honest eye on her movements as a result. She is a candidate to make a shot off of her own play creation or as a recipient of the catch and shoot off a kickout.

Williams is a smooth option in the backcourt who still has room to grow her game over the next 12 months. She’s a more than capable defender who will see her game go to another level as she becomes more comfortable talking on the floor, calling out what she sees. When Williams is able to add that to her diverse skill on the offensive end, expect her production to rise a level yet again.
