With the recruiting landscape limited to phone calls and no contact, things are supposed to be slow. But there is still plenty of news hitting the wires this week.
Florida Adds Twin Posts
Taliyah and Tatyanna Wyche, twin 2021 posts from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, committed to Cam Newbauer and the Florida Gators. The two are the first two commitments in the 2021 class for the program and a great step in solidifying the frontcourt.
Both have strong frames standing 6 feet 3 inches. They should immediately impact the Gators ability to rebound and defend. Tatyanna showed terrific signs of a developing scoring skill set this winter with her American Heritage High School (Plantation, Florida).
The Gators finished the season 15-15 behind its young and emerging backcourt, nearly doubling it’s total wins from the season before and doubling conference wins. The program notched two wins against ranked opponents with wins vs No. 13 Kentucky and No. 22 Arkansas in the last month of the season.
Florida signed two players this fall, both ranked in the ELITE 150 by ProspectsNation.com. No. 31 Jordyn Merritt, a 6-2 wing of Plano, Texas, who can defend multiple positions at a high level and score inside and out. She was named a Jordan Brand Classic selection (the game was cancelled due to COVID-19). She is joined by No. 123 Brynn Farrell Belmar, New Jersey, who capped her senior campaign with a 20.2 point, 5.9 rebound per game season.

Dorroh To Missouri
Kiya Dorroh, the four-star rated wing from Tucson, Arizona, gave her verbal commitment to Missouri. She chose the Tigers over finalists Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas and Vanderbilt.
Dorroh is a hybrid player and her length, mobility and range helped her Sabino High School program win a state title this spring in Arizona. She is on the ELITE 100 Watch list in the 2021 class and is the program’s first commitment in the class.
Dorroh heads to Columbia on the heals of Missouri’s two-player 2020 class of Jayla Kelly, a 6-3 post from Chesterfield, Missouri, and Sara-Rose Smith, a 6-1 guard from Brisbane, Australia. Kelly was ranked No. 117 in the ELITE 150.
Bendu Yeaney Chooses Arizona
Bendy Yeaney, the 5-10 guard transfer from the University of Indiana has made her decision and will enroll at Arizona. The Portland, Oregon, native gets closer to home and has two strong seasons under her belt at IU.
Yeaney averaged 9.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 2018-19 as a sophomore, starting 33 of the 34 games she played in.
