Leff is a 6'0 post player that is starting to show off her versatility beyond the low block. Her midrange game is really coming to life and the confidence she has shooting over defenders in the paint was fun to watch. With her size, it is almost impossible to contest her shot when she is using her footwork to step away and create space. Only in the 2020 class, it would be great to see her develop consistent range from beyond the arc as a trailing 4, or a pick and pop off the ball screen. Just having that in her arsenal is next level, but continuing to hone in on what she already does well in the paint is the main focus. Defensively, Leff rebounds as well as we are use to seeing and is starting to do a great job of contesting any shots in her area. She did a great job of not fouling and staying straight up. Overall, Leff is progressing tremendously and her basketball IQ and skillset is showing the upside she has in store for all of us.
Leff is a left handed forward who showed great range on her jumper. Standing close to 6-feet tall, she has the size to clean the glass and affect the game on the interior. However, her shooting ability allows her to stretch the floor for her team. She is far from a stand still shooter who likes to float around the perimeter, however. She proved that she can go snatch rebounds off the glass among post players. Coming out of this camp she will need to prove that she can defend quicker wings around the arc. This will give her the added defensively versatility that is needed to compete at high levels.
Leff is a 5'11 post in the 2020 class that is severely talented. She has a dimension to her game that has a great feel for it because she is left handed and adds a soft touch to her shots around the basket on the left side. She has good length and is able to secure a lot of rebounds. Areas of improvement for her going forward will be learning to stand her ground more on the defensive end. She is very mobile and can defend on the interior and perimeter, but dialing in on positioning will be key for her going forward. With that being said, she derails a lot of shots and is a very capable shot blocker. Offensively, Leff was also able to score off of offensive rebounds showing her ability to read the ball off the rim. Overall, she is a talented forward and a player to keep an eye on as she starts her high school career.
| Leff is a 5'11 forward in the 2020 class with a lot of length and an inside game. She runs the floor well, plays through contact and proved she can finish well with her left hand. She has good tact around the basket and her footwork is really strong on the block, and in the mid-post area. In the paint, she is also quick off the ground to her release, which is good to see her soft touch inside be reactionary, especially as she continues to develop into the next level of basketball. Defensively, she is a sound rebounder and uses her length and positioning to block and contest a lot of shots. Going forward, Leff can look to continue to improve her off hand and midrange scoring. If she can dial in her shot from the elbow, that will really make her a tough mismatch both offensively and defensively. |
