MINNETONKA, Minn. -- The Breakdown Classic is without question the North Star State’s premier single day event. Our staff has been on hand for the past three editions of the event. Like the previous three, this year’s event featured some of the state’s top talent inside the Hopkins Lindbergh Center. Though it was cold outside, the talent in the gym kept it warm all day long. Here are four seniors who brought heat to the event:

Tara Dusharm (Foley, Minn.), Foley HS – 2015

For the second straight year on this big stage, Dusharm shined bright as one of the region’s premier interior options. The nation’s No. 24 rated center signed with Saint Louis in the early period. She will bring the Billikens’ staff a high energy, 6-foot-5 post threat. A four-star prospect, Dusharm showed consistent soft touch around the basket. She also displayed the ability to rebound the basketball, outlet it to a guard then run the hardwood in transition to complete the play on the other end.

Madison Guebert (Apple Valley, Minn.), Eastview HS – 2015

Like Dusharm, Guebert set the stage for this year’s performance with last year’s showing here. Guebert had the biggest performance of the day from any prospect regardless of class, putting herself squarely in the discussion for the revised ProspectsNation.com ELITE 150 Rankings in the spring. The 5-9 guard helped Eastview knock off Hopkins in what could be a preview of the state title game in March. Guebert finished with 35 points in the overtime thriller on a variety of shots from as deep as 25 feet from the rim. In the process, she gave the 3,000 fans in attendance a glimpse of what she’ll bring to South Dakota State for the next four winters.

T’Aire “TT” Starks (Maple Grove, Minn.) - Hopkins HS – 2015

In her home gym, Starks set out to prove why she is ranked as the No. 10 wing in the class, nationally. With her future Iowa State assistant coaches Billy Fennelly and Jodi Steyer on hand, Starks did everything she could to will the home team to victory. Hopkins eventually lost in overtime but not before Starks made her presence felt, finishing with 18 points. The four-star prospect gets it done on both ends of the floor using her activity and strength to be productive.

Sam Trammel (Apple Valley, Minn.), Eastview HS – 2015

This was my first chance to see Trammel play live in some time after transferring schools kept her out during the 2013-14 season. She picked up where she left off, showing herself to be worthy of the No. 21 post ranking nationally she currently holds. With Michigan assistant coach Melanie Moore in the gym to watch her future Wolverine, Trammel put on a solid display finishing consistently around the rim. The 6-2 prospect also rebounded the ball serving as a glass cleaner on the interior as Eastview took home a big win.
