SUWANEE, Ga. - Now in it’s eighth year, the Elite Basketball Academy Fab Five Camp has turned into a staple of Labor Day Weekend. The camp provided 110 prospects with a golden opportunity to develop their skill sets and compete in game play in front of the ProspectsNation.com staff.

Meredith Schulte (Braselton, Ga.), Mill Creek High School – 2015

The 6-foot small forward exploded onto the scene with her play at the ELITE 32 Summer Jam II in Augusta to close out July and Schulte’s play at the Fab Five Camp did nothing but reinforce our current assessment of her game. Schulte brings both legitimate size and a diverse skill set to the table. That combination earned her a four-star rating from our staff as the summer turns into fall.

Throughout the course of camp Schulte scored the basketball off of the open jump shot with her feet set. She can handle the basketball well enough to create off of the bounce as well. She even served as a willing screener in high ball screen-and-roll sets during the competitive games at camp. Look for Schulte to be a name that we keep tabs on as her recruitment heats up this school season.

(Note: Schulte was recently the focus of a #ProspectsNationTV Feature Player Evaluation. Watch the video and read the in-depth evaluation here.

AROUND THE RIM

♦ Sharpshooting forwards like Schulte are hard to find. Ashley Parker of Dawsonville, Ga., is another one in the class of 2015. Playing on the same camp team as Schulte, Parker’s long-range shooting ability made them an almost unstoppable 1-2 punch.

Alex Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., has continued to grow her game since we saw her at the Holiday Invitational last December. The 6-1 class of 2015 post player took full advantage of the skill development sessions offered, showing the footwork needed to be an effective back-to-basket presence in the process.

Celina King of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a steady presence at the point guard spot. The class of 2016 prospect consistently puts her teammates in a position to make open shots and creates easy scoring opportunities for them.

♦ Basketball is all about progression, whether it is physical or skill set development. That’s a word that can be used to describe to emergence of Ansley Eubank of Lascassas, Tenn. The class of 2016 combo guard is filling out and we are watching her game grow as a direct result.

Alyssa Clay of Indianapolis, Ind., also showed that she can play either guard position. The class of 2016 prospect is smooth with the basketball while possessing the ability to create a shot for herself when need be.
