Boshears had a great camp as play creator and shot maker. Her size and skill make her a very tough match-up for most guards. Although she is a very good shooter, she has improved as a slasher to score. Her confidence and agressiveness continues to grow from each year to the next. Boshears is a good athlete, however she will need to maximize her athleticism in future years. Working on becoming more explosive left to right will help her defend the elite at her position.
Boshears is a talented combo-guard who showed an array of skills at the fall camp. She proved that she can handle as a point guard or score from the wing. Her size at 5-9 points to a future that will allow her to impact the game for years to come. She has the size and strength to score over or around defenders in the paint. Yet she also has range on her jumper. The challenge for Skylar in future years will be to polish her game where she can be an impact player when she becomes an upper classmen.
Boshears is a young point guard who made a great impression with our staff at the camp. She scored the ball very well and showed plenty of moves off of the dribble as well. She will be a kid that we will track for years to come. She will want to stay in the gym and continue to develop her skills to stay on the course that she is on.
