SEATTLE – The sold out Check Me Out Showcase, in its seventh year, saw 160 players hit the courts at the IMA Center on the University of Washington campus. The talent spanned multiple classes including a terrific group from the 2022 class.
Abby Graham
Early into our Spotlight Workout, it was evident that Abby Graham of Portland, Ore., is my type of prospect. She comes in to the gym focused, does her work and heads for the exit. That workmanlike mentality will serve Graham well going forward. She is a guard with multiple skills that jump off the page. Graham can shoot the ball, handle it in traffic and make plays off the bounce. Her style of play reminds me of Lindsey Corsaro (UCLA Redshirt Sophomore).
Natalie Fraley
There is always a lack of backcourt options capable of putting the basketball in the basket on a consistent basis. That’s not an issue for Natalie Fraley of Kalama, Wash. She is a willing shot taker and a solid prospect at the off ball spot going forward. Her willingness to try and make plays to score was noteworthy throughout the weekend.
Miranda Lomax
Lomax of Cathlamet, Wash., caught my attention with her ability to pay attention to detail in this setting last year. She came back 365 days later and the same thing. This time around though Lomax showcased an improved skill set both with and without the ball in her hands. She’s a talented guard who makes up for lacking prototypical backcourt size by approaching the game the right way.
Brooke Slymen
Combining high energy and effort almost always results in positive plays. Brooke Slymen of Calif., plays the game with that combination seemingly every time out. Her willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done was evident both in the Spotlight Workout session and again in gameplay on Sunday.

Audrey Taylor
Audrey Taylor of Boise, Idaho, has legit shooting range from the outside. She pulled early and often but always in rhythm taking quality shots in the process. Her ability to pull the trigger reminds me of former camper Meghan Boyd. Taylor is one to keep an eye on as a potential elite specialist in the class nationally.
Jada Wynn
Jada Wynn of Seattle, Wash., is a frequent visitor to the Montlake campus. Her mom, Jody, is the head coach of the Huskies women’s team. Jada is making a name for herself on the hardwood. She has the size and skill to be an effective player at multiple positions. In that regard, her diversity on the floor makes her a tough matchup for opposing defenders.
