Murfreesboro, Tenn., -- The We Work Hoops Spring Evaluation Camp was one of the first opportunities of the spring for prospects to get in the gym, hone their skills, and play against quality competition. With lead trainer Christian Simmons and his staff of quality skill instructors leading the way, the camp was a success. Here is a look at just a few of the lasting impressions that were left from this weekend’s participants.

Brooke Copeland (Cleveland, Tenn.) - Bradley Central – 2014

Copeland had it all on display here this weekend. The 6-foot-2 post was scoring with an array of pivot moves around the rim and knocking down open perimeter jumpers as they came her way. What may be more impressive than her ability to score the ball was Copeland’s vocal leadership and activity level from the start of camp to the finish. She has the ability to anchor a defense with her size and mobility and her willingness to communicate on both sides of the floor will allow her teammates to trust that she’ll always have their back in help defense.

Copeland, the four-star junior post, has a variety of tools that she brings to the floor and as a result should see her recruiting stock continue to rise this spring and summer.

SPOTLIGHT PLAYERS

Jaycee Coe (Cookeville, Tenn.) - Jackson County – 2014

As one of the best perimeter shooters in the country, Coe makes defenders aware of her whenever she walks into the gym. She has given her verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky, has a smooth perimeter jumper and has become more comfortable putting the ball on the floor and creating her own shot here and there. Continuing to round out her game skill wise and get more comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter will be key in Coe’s development moving forward. As a 6-foot guard, Coe has the ideal size to put pressure on the defense with her ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter, yet still not give anything up on the defensive side of the floor.

Sarah Price (Owingsville, Ohio) - Bath County – 2016

One of the cool things about the spring is getting a chance to see the development and improvement in the games of young prospects. Price was a kid who showed an elevated game from this summer as she continues to improve her game. Price, a 6-0 forward, has the ability to play with her back to the basket and turn over either shoulder to get a quality shot attempt. She is also showing a ton of confidence facing the basket and shooting the 15-foot jumper. Watching the freshman prospect go through drill work with a high level of enthusiasm was an impressive sign of things to come. Look for Price to be a name that you see again in the future.

AROUND THE RIM

♦ Class of 2014 guard Emily Eubank of Murfreesboro, Tenn., was fun to work with during the drill portion of camp. Eubank is a skilled guard with good size. She has the ability to play on or off the ball at the next level. Also watch out for her younger sister, Ansley Eubank, a 2016 prospect who is coming along very well.

Morgan Towells of Atlanta, Ga., was one of the standouts in the younger age group this weekend. She is a 5-7 freshman guard with good athleticism and a developing skill set. If she continues to polish her game we are certain to hear from her again.

Jamee' Ward of Chattanooga, Tenn., is an intriguing young prospect. Ward is a very good athlete with the footspeed to become a quality on-ball defender. Ward worked hard in the drill work this weekend at camp.

Akia Harris of Chattanooga, Tenn., is a prospect we have seen a bunch over the past year, but the 2016 prospect keeps getting better with every evaluation. Harris has the ability to be a scoring combo guard. She can knockdown the perimeter jumper and get to the rim.
