ORLANDO – Coming off of a state championship in 2015, Lake Highland Prep has established themselves as one of the premier prep programs in the Sunshine State. We were on hand to watch the Highlanders host talented, in-state rival Boone. Here are some takeaways from the Lake Highland victory.
Lake Highland Prep’s go-to option is class of 2016 guard Jordan Lewis. A four-star combo guard, she is a multi-faceted option on the perimeter. The Alabama signee can play either guard position and stretches defenses with her ability to make the outside jumper. With Crimson Tide recruiting coordinator, Shereka Wright, on hand, Lewis was dominant from the opening tip in this evaluation. Lewis strength will allow her to be impactful on the defensive end at the next level as well.
Koi Love of Lake Highland Prep is a steady option at the forward position. Right now, the class of 2019 prospect showcases a skill set that is best equipped at the power forward spot. We’ll get another in-depth evaluation of Love’s game as a member of Central Florida Elite during the PSB Tip-Off Classic on April 15-17.
Class of 2018 guard Jiselle Havas of Lake Highland Prep is a potential next level specialist as a shooter. The three-star prospect is no stranger to our staff having showcased her skill at multiple Elite Basketball Academy camps in 2015. Havas possesses legitimate size on the perimeter and we’ve adjusted her next level projection accordingly to SG from PG.
Class of 2018 post Brittney Smith of Boone has a build similar to Madison Pack (FL-17) though not as skilled right now. Smith will run the floor in transition and Central Florida was in the building to evaluate her play. Keep an eye on her development.
