SUWANEE, Ga. – The final day of the PSB End of the Road Championships saw a 2016 prospect who started to emerge earlier this summer continue that journey

Erin Whalen (Charlotte, N.C.) CBC-Watts-2016

The End Of The Road tournament provided athletes from all over the country a chance to showcase their wares in front of nearly 90 college coaches and the ProspectsNation.com evaluation staff. Erin Whalen was one of the players that kept fans and coaches in the stands until the very last horn. This weekend proved to be the opportunity for the 6-foot-1 small forward to make her mark amongst other top players in her class.

Whalen was at full throttle and met all challengers. Her ability to put the ball on the floor and finish with her off hand is a definite advantage. When asked about her favor for going left, she said that it just comes naturally. Whalen has the ability to score in a multitude of ways, which makes her a challenge to defend. Although she can make shots on the perimeter, Whalen is most effective when she puts the ball on the floor and attacks the basket. Her passion for the game was very apparent this weekend as she lead her team to the championship game in the JLHemingwayPSB bracket against a talented Carolina All Stars team.

AROUND THE RIM

Jade Phillips, in the class of 2015, played well this weekend for the Carolina All Stars. The 5-11 small forward has a great motor and is in constant motion. Her team benefits from the little things that she does on both ends of the floor. Phillips is a tenacious defender and, on the offensive end, has the ability to get to the rim with finesse.

♦ The Douglasville Lady Tigers got a solid performance from Nikira Goings. She has the ability to run the team from the point guard position and also be the go-to scorer. It is impressive how she is evolving into a complete player. The 2015 shooting guard has the poise and athleticism that will be an asset at the next level.

Tory Ozment of Buford, Ga., caught eyes with her solid ball skill and her basketball I.Q. The 5-9 swing player has the fundamental skill set that we look for in players. Ozment is better playing off the ball but did spend some time at the point guard position. Her strong suit is her perimeter shooting.

♦ Speaking of shooters, Tasherica McMillon showed that she has the touch from the perimeter. Her ability to catch and shoot is fun to watch. McMillon has range beyond the arc and can create space to get her shots.
