PN Film Room - July 8
Angelina Hodgens

Olvia VanPatten of Cranston, Rhode Island, is featured in this summer's latest Film Room session.

After a busy month of June in the Film Room that included new evals on prospects in multiple states coast-to-coast, our staff is hard at work producing Player Cards for what we’ve seen. Here is a look at a few of the latest evaluations over the past week as well as a couple of 2025 Watch List additions:

London Bologoff

Oregon, Class of 2026

Bologoff’s size and length package separate her in a state full of quality options.

“This was my first time breaking down Bologoff's game on Film. Right away, Bologoff made a fantastic flash cut across the paint then dove to the rim. She received the pass, gathered her steps and was able to finish through contact. Bologoff's ability to make defenders have to come through her opposite shoulder to get to the basketball should not be underappreciated. There aren't many frontcourt options in the Pacific Northwest who can bring the type of physical presence that she can. For Bologoff, continuing to work on her left to right foot speed and mobility will be key. In today's game where college teams are constantly using the Pick and Roll action to free up their guard play, being able to defend in a guard to big switch would be yet another reason for a coach to be able to keep Bologoff on the floor in crucial situations.” -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB

Ariana Dasgupta

Indiana, Class of 2029

POSITIONG

Undecided

Dasgupta is putting in the time to compete inside the Hoosier State. She’s firmly on my radar.

“This was my second Film Room breakdown of Dasgupta's game. Much like the first one, her willingness to do whatever her team needs to be successful jumped right off at me. She plays with an effort and energy on both sides of the hardwood that few can match. Dasgupta makes her presence felt on the offensive end of the floor with her catch and shoot ability. In the modern game, showing that she can be a consistent 3-point weapon should be a signature of Dasgupta's game. Look for her to keep building on her skill attacking the left side of the floor using that hand.” -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB

Jaycee Martin

Pennsylvania, Class of 2028

POSITIONG

Undecided

Martin is a dynamic option to track during her high school career.

“This is my first time breaking down footage in the Film Room on Martin. She's a dynamic option at the lead guard position who showed a willingness to push the tempo of the game in transition. Martin's ability to get the basketball up the floor with some pace is a potential separator as she gets older and something for her to keep building on. She keeps her head and eyes up looking for open teammates off the dribble drive. Martin is a solid knockdown shooter on the perimeter as well. Like most young prospects, I expect Martin's release point to continue to get higher as she gets older and matures physically. It's already on the right trajectory in that aspect. Keep an eye on Martin's willingness to get into the paint on the left side then finish with that hand.”   -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB

Jaci Meece

Indiana, Class of 2027

POSITIONG

Meece is emerging as a player to keep tabs on from out of the Southern Indiana region.

“This was my first time getting to break down Meece's game in the Film Room. She is a fantastic option from the perimeter as a shot maker from beyond the arc. That is a skill that Meece can utilize as a separator for the remainder of her high school career. Also look for Meece to take advantage of her all around skill set as well. She can shoot it, handle the basketball and find an open teammate as well. One of my favorite aspects of her game was her unselfish play in a gym full of high level players at multiple age groups. As Meece progresses, I'll keep a close eye on her adding more physical strength to her frame. Doing that will only aid in her ability to get into the paint and make positive plays in spite of taking a bump.”  -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB

2025 Watch List Additions

Angelina Hodgens

New York, Class of 2025

POSITIONG

HEIGHT5' 9"

COMMITTED TO

Northwestern

ELITE
150

Hodgens just committed to Northwestern after visiting campus last week.

“This is my first Film Room evaluation on Hodgens game. She has the size and strength to be effective at the guard spot. The potential to use her frame to keep opposing guards in front of her gives her upside that most guards in her size range don't possess. Left to right mobility will be essential to make that happen more times than not. For Hodgens, being able to shoot 33 percent or better from the 3-point line is a major key in a modern day game that requires guards to make shots for offensive spacing purposes. The foundation is there for her to do just that. Hodgens can separate herself from some of the others in the class by bringing elite level vocal leadership to the hardwood every time she plays a game.”  -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB

Olivia VanPatten

Rhode Island, Class of 2025

POSITIONF

HEIGHT6' 1"

COMMITTED TO

Undecided

VanPatten just picked up a scholarship offer from Hofstra earlier in the week.

“VanPatten has the size and length in the front court that college coaches covet in the modern day game. She can shoot the 3-pointer in the trail slot or from the corner. VanPatten is a willing defender, rebounder inside when needed in addition to possessing the intelligence needed to understand varying coverages. A high academic caliber prospect, VanPatten has plenty of room to keep trending upwards into her final school season.”   -- Brandon Clay | @BrandonClayPSB
