Late on Friday night D’Asia Gregg, a four-star forward from Florence, South Carolina, confirmed via text message that she had made a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech. Gregg, who held scholarship offers from Clemson and South Carolina as well as Georgia Tech, is a 6-foot-3 forward who will bring quality size, athleticism, and perimeter skills to the ACC school’s frontline.
Gregg’s addition to Georgia Tech’s 2018 class gives coach Machelle Joseph and her staff their second commitment. Gregg will join 5-7 point guard Taylor Sutton of Hampton, Georgia. The combination of Gregg and Sutton will move the Yellow Jackets into the 2018 class ranking picture as they will now have two four-star prospects with verbal commitments.
Moving forward, look coach Joseph and her staff to continue to build around both Gregg and Sutton as they look to complete their 2018 class. So far the Yellow Jackets have made the list of some ELITE 100 prospects including Honesty Scott-Grayson, Liz Dixon, Brinnae Alexander and Elizabeth Balogun.
