BUFORD, Georgia – The Elite Basketball Academy All-American Showcase has been the proving grounds for players currently playing in the WNBA and at all levels of collegiate basketball. Now in it’s 10thyear, the showcase gives the campers a chance to work with the Brandon Clay Skill Training staff as well as be seen by the ProspectsNation.com evaluation staff. I had a chance to work with select groups of the campers personally. Here are the breakdowns from the 4:15 pm group:

Raeven Boswell – Austin, Texas – 2022 – Lake Travis HS

Boswell is a talented option at the guard spot. Her length on the perimeter coupled with her skill set offensively make her an intriguing prospect long term. Boswell likes to attack to score but should be able to showcase herself as a capable shooter from the outside as well in due time.

Gabbi Cartagena – Jackson, Ga. – 2021 – Jackson HS

Cartagena has shown at the guard spot a willingness and ability to be dynamic on the wing. When she turns her energy up a notch and attacks the rim to make plays, there aren’t a lot of guards like her in the Peach State. Going forward, Cartagena has the capability to become a high level on-ball defender too.

Trinity Cheatom – Des Moines, Iowa – 2022 - Goodrell HS

Cheatom is growing with each evaluation. She is a skilled prospect on the ball with a mind for the game. Cheatom was eager to lock in and improve her game. Focusing on attacking the lane with confidence to finish and improving her body strength will help her continue to excel.

Reychel Douglas – Raleigh, N.C. - 2023 - Leesville Road Middle – 2023

Douglas is a talented option with both length and skill in the frontcourt. Based on matchups, she can play multiple positions displaying shooting range out past the 3-point line. In that way, the sky is the limit for Douglas due to her blend of physical abilities at an early age.

Jordan Gibson – Lynn Haven, FL - 2020 – Mosley HS

Gibson is a smooth, slender-framed option at the off guard spot. Her next level success will be predicated on the ability to make plays in the lane to finish or shooting the outside jumper at an elite level. Based on this setting, Gibson has the temperament to become one of those two things. She was dialed in and ready to grow her game throughout the weekend.

Marya Hudgins – Roswell, Ga. - 2022 – Holy Innocents

Hudgins continues to find her way to improvement both mentally and physically. Her game has grown leaps and bounds from this point a year ago. As a result, Hudgins is beginning to emerge as a prospect who can make a difference at multiple positions in the frontcourt. She is both bouncy with her movements and skilled with her attack.

Jordan Meulemans – De Pere, Wisc. – 2022 – De Pere HS

Meulemans has shown both physical and skill set growth since our evaluation in June. She’s got the length on the perimeter to make positive plays on both ends of the hardwood. Her willingness to come in early and get extra work in is a testament to what our staff sees in her game long term. Meulemans is a threat putting the ball on the deck and shooting the outside shot. She’s really worked on her inside foot pivot footwork off the move.
