Louisville is out to a lead having secured a verbal commitment from the No. 1 player in the class, Asia Durr of Douglasville, Ga. But head coach Jeff Walz and his staff have five total players ranked in the top 36 spots in the rankings.
Connecticut is in striking distance with No. 2 Katie Lou Samuelson on board as well as two more top 20 prospects in No. 6 Napheesa Collier and No. 20 Dejanae Boykin.
Thinks could shake up before the early signing week in November as there are still four players ranked in the top 11 spots still undecided. The highest ranked of that group being No. 5 Arike Ogunbowale of Milwaukee, Wis., who is considering Louisville, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA and Wisconsin.
