Rushton is a 5’4 guard in the 2020 class. Offensively, she is a shooting specialist and had a dynamic weekend scoring the ball from range. She knocked down four 3-balls on Sunday in one game that was impressive. After watching her, she is very confident in her game and not afraid to deliver from her space. She also is opportunistic in transition and makes strong passes. Adding more comfort with her left hand will give her more shift on the perimeter and finishing ability in the lane. Overall, Rushton was a competitor this past weekend and had moments where she really led by example not only by scoring, but with her energy and floor presence.
Rushton is a 5'3 guard in the 2020 class who is high energy and a strong offensive threat. Offensively, she has a shooters mentality and really looks for opportunties to get her feet set and get a shot up beyond the arc. Its enjoyable to watch players who have a strong shooters mentality that commit to taking quality shots. She shot the ball really well this past weekend and can make defenses pay if they don't keep her in close proximity. She also had a nice layup in transition on the left hand side that she converted on. Defensively, she is active, gets tips on balls and is opportuntistic in the passing lanes. Continuing to build on her consistency on the perimeter and pairing that with a consistent attack at the rim will elevate her overall efffectivess offensively. Rushton was recognized as the player at the end of the showcase who really brought toughness and energy to the weekend and it didn't go unnoticed.
