Morgan is a 5'7 guard in the 2020 class with an attack mentality that brings so much value to the floor. She is constantly looking for lanes to expose on the offensive end and pursues loose balls and rebounds. She is very active, has good strength around the rim, and is a tough rebounder. She will look to shoot the 3-ball, but her first look is to create something at the basket. She also facilitates well out of the attack and uses a cross-over really well to get to spots on the floor. Defensively, Morgan brings a lot of toughness and is always in the mix looking to create new opportunities whether its stripping a loose ball or securing a rebound to transition back to the offensive end. Going forward, she needs to develop a quick trigger on the 3-point line when she has space to elevate and also be decisive and recognize when she has room on the perimeter to knock down the shot without hesitation. Morgan is one of the tougher and more physical guards we've seen at the Check Me Out Showcase and it's always fun catching her in the mix over the course of the weekend.
| Morgan is a 5'7 guard in the 2020 class that had one of the most impressive weekends in the middle school division of the showcase. She showed great floor leadership, command to her teammates and a consistent approach to her play both offensively and defensively. She has good guard size and strength which really complimented her ability to knock down shots in the midrange. Her clean ball-handling and feel for shot give her a consistent shooting rhythm off the bounce. She also had times during the 5-on-5 games where she got to the middle of the paint, and showed a runner, which was great to see in her arsenal. Having that ability to float shots over taller defenders will be key to her effectiveness scoring the basketball. Going forward, she can look to develop her left hand, combo moves and quickness getting to the basket. Overall, Morgan is a consistent player that brings a lot of scoring and leadership to the floor. |
