Torres took a step forward in her development this weekend. She displayed a smooth skill set where she can get to the bucket to finish. Her jumper was very good this weekend. So good in fact that she was hitting 3s off the reversal and behind ball screens at the arc. Torres showed a look of confidence in her eyes that we have not seen previously. Her hard work is showing through and points to many positive things for the future.
Torres came into the camp and made her presence known as a high energy, coachable player. She went hard in all the drills while also making plays in competition. She can get downhill quickly with the drive while also showing a consistent high release on her jumper. If she can tighten up her ball handling with either hand and limit turnovers, she can turn into a solid play-making combo guard in upcoming years.
