Smith, 5'6 guard in the 2022 class with an objective to attack the rim. Offensively, she will shoot a 1-2 step shot and penetrate the middle of the lane. She does a really good job of turning the corner and getting her shoulder by her defender and using her leverage to get downhill. She had a nice left handed finish in game 1, but developing her left hand is an area she can focus on growing control in over the next year to add that consistency and be able to take contact in the paint. With her ability to attack the lane, and her presence from the perimeter, having the abiity to pull-up consistently in the midrange would be a nice addition to her game as well, because it would give her a happy medium option to score. The midrange aspect of a guards game is often overlooked, but a very high level strength for those who can master it off the bounce. Overall, Smith showed great energy and upside along with a determination to be active in the lane and create off the bounce.
