Sams is a fundamental point guard who does a great job of distributing to her teammates. She is the type of guard who can put the ball on the floor to draw help and then kick to open shooters. Her footwork on the perimeter allows her to create the proper angles to get downhill into the lane. Most impressive is her vision to see the floor, because she keeps her eyes up when she put the ball on the floor. Sams is still relatively young and has maturing left to do. As she grows and fills out physically she will see other parts of her game grow as well.
