Alvarado is a 5’4 guard out of Moxee, Wash. She is an opportunistic player that has an ability to make things happen. Those type of players have the biggest upside on the floor because their instincts have an ability to create something out of nothing. When she gets in the lane, she drives and kicks well and makes solid reads to her teammates. Going forward, it would be great for her game to develop a consistent stop and pop midrange jumper. With her heads up play, she naturally looks high and low for passes in the paint, but developing balance to stop and assess a high percentage target at the rim herself in the midrange will add some offensive power to her overall performance. Defensively, she had a nice steal in the backcourt when she put pressure on the ball. Only in the class of 2024, Alvarado has a high IQ that plays for an advantage big or small whether its cutting backdoor to the basket for an easy layup, or cleaning up steals in the back court for easy transition points.
