Veneman once again proved to be a steady producer at the guard position at the EBA Top 40 Camp. She pressed the action at times and scored points while also balancing a distributing role as a guard. She showed increased craftiness to get her shot off the move. She still possesses her trademark hustle and energy on both ends of the floor. You know what Veneman is going to bring to the court each outing: efficiency, production and leadership. Developing a specialty that will translate to an elite level is the next step that Megan will look to enhance as she heads into her senior year of high school.
Veneman is a steady hand at the guard position. In this setting, she showed the skill set needed to play either backcourt position. Veneman's willingness to improve extended past the conclusion of Top 40 as she got in extra perimeter work. For her, continuing to build the accuracy of her outside shot will only enhance her overall game. Veneman gets it's done off the floor as well sporting a 3.5 GPA in the classroom.
Veneman is a hustle player in the back court. She is the type of player who is constantly in the right spot at the time. She pushes the ball in transition and keeps her head up to make the right pass. Her energy translates well to the defensive end where she will move to help and recover to her man quickly. The next step for Veneman is turn her fundamental skill set into more play-making. There are ways that she can be more involved in the offense without forcing the issue. That will be her challenge over the next 18 months.
