Ferguson has a well-rounded offensive skill set. She has a confident jumper from distance and can get downhill with the dribble. One of the most important skills that the sophomore showed was confidence in her left hand. She is willing to attack the lane with either hand and has terrific footwork to set it up. Her hesitation moves were some of the best in the academy. Continuing to develop her playmaking skills to set up teammates should be a key area for Ferguson to develop.
Ferguson is a high energy guard with a high-octane offensive skill set. Although her right hand is her dominant hand, she is quite confident in slashing towards her weak hand to drive and finish. She even finished with her off hand in the lane after cutting off screens. Her quick, determined attitude on the offensive end is enhanced by her quick feet. Her pitter-pat steps keep the defense off balance as she determines which direction to go. Ferguson’s perimeter jumper is equally as effective. She hit 3-point shots consistently all weekend long. The key for Ferguson moving forward is maximizing her athleticism. Staying in top shape and increasing her core strength are all things that will help keep her at the top of her game. – Coach Hemi

This was our first time getting on the floor with Ferguson and her attitude nor skill set came in under expectations. She’s a strong-framed off the ball option on the perimeter. She can shoot it from the wing showing the ability to be a floor spacer in that way. Ferguson’s dedication to her craft even during the pandemic was on full display once she got in a rhythm shooting the ball here.
