Somvichian is a crafty guard who plays the game with skill and finesse. She does a good job of getting her shot off quickly both off the catch and the dribble. She showed a smooth step back 3 in game play during camp. Her craftiness extends into her playmaking for others as well. She delivers the ball on target on time to her teammates with her passing ability. Somvichian is very good at keeping her head up and shifting the defense left to right to create passing lanes. The area that the guard can improve upon is working to be more explosive to get downhill with the dribble. This will be important for creating space to set up other offensive players.
