Brown is a left-handed wing forward who is well suited to the modern game. She is a knockdown shooter from beyond the 3-point arc. She keeps her shot straight and holds a consistent follow through. When the defense closes out too tightly on the perimeter, she showed she can also attack the lane with confidence to score or make plays. As she adds strength to her core, we expect to see her explosiveness and athleticism take a bump up.
Brown is a wing with length and exceptional shooting ability. The lefty has a smooth release and her shot comes out straight. During academy workouts and game play she proved herself to be a knockdown shooter. She also did a nice job of attacking defensive closeouts by putting the ball on the floor and finishing at the bucket with either hand. Her length and size give her added value to the next level. Right now, Brown is primarily a wing and a complementary player who thrives playing beside playmakers who can set her up. Continuing to hone her own ball skill and confidence in making plays for others will be key in her development. – Coach Hemi

This was our staff’s first opportunity to train with Brown in this setting. She’s got all of the tools physically to be a premier prospect in the region over the next three years. Brown is dialed in and seems to embrace the process of getting better. She has two older sisters who have paved the way showing her where hard work can lead to. Macy seems poised to take full advantage as a slashing option off the bounce capable of hitting the open jumper as well.

Brown has grown her game leaps and bounds since we saw her in June. The left-hand dominant wing player showed the type of versatility in her game that our staff saw glimpses of in June. Brown won a shooting competition that included the entire Academy competing displaying just how much she’s improved in that area. She’s a more than capable option off the bounce as well. Continuing to add strength to her frame will be the next step in her growth.
